Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 September 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of PDFSpark ("the Service", "we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

PDFSpark provides PDF tools that run in your web browser. Your files are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to our servers. Some features (such as OCR) download supporting data, like language files, from a content delivery network; your documents are never sent with those requests.

We may add, change or remove tools over time. If we ever close the Service, we'll give registered users reasonable notice by email.

3. Accounts

  • You must give accurate information and keep your password secure. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard.
  • We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

4. Plans

Free

  • 3 operations per day on the core tools.
  • No account required.

Pro

  • A one-time payment for a fixed period of access to every tool with no daily limit: $40 USD for 365 days, or $5 USD for one month where a monthly option is offered.
  • Pro does not renew automatically. We email you before it ends; renewing early adds the new period to the time you have left.

Lifetime

  • One payment of $99 USD for access to every tool, with no daily limit, for as long as the Service is offered.
  • Includes tools and updates we add in the future.

5. Payments

  • Payments are made in Bitcoin through BTCPay Server, an open-source payment processor we operate ourselves. We never see or store card or bank details.
  • Prices are in US dollars and converted to the Bitcoin amount at checkout. Network fees are paid by the sender.
  • Each checkout invoice is valid for a limited time. If it expires before your payment arrives, contact us and we'll sort it out.
  • Your plan is activated automatically once the payment is confirmed, and we email you a receipt.

6. Refunds

If you are not happy with a paid plan, contact us within 14 days of purchase at [email protected] and we will refund the US-dollar amount you paid, sent in Bitcoin to an address you provide. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws that apply to you.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, or to process material you have no right to use;
  • attempt to get around usage limits, plan restrictions or security measures;
  • overload, disrupt or scrape the Service with automated tools;
  • resell the Service without our written permission.

8. Your files and intellectual property

Your documents remain yours. Because processing happens on your device, we never receive, access or store them. The Service itself — its design, code and content — belongs to us.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to make the tools accurate and reliable, but we can't guarantee they will be error-free or always available. Please keep copies of your original files and check important results before you rely on them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law doesn't allow us to exclude.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell registered users by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Disputes and contact

If something goes wrong, please email us first at [email protected] — most problems can be sorted out quickly. If you use the Service as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, including any right to bring a claim there.
