How do I convert a PDF to JPG in high quality?
Choose JPG and 300 DPI, which is sharp enough for printing and zooming in. For text-heavy pages or graphics with sharp edges, PNG often looks crisper than JPG, at the cost of larger files.
Should I choose JPG or PNG?
JPG makes smaller files and suits photos, brochures and pages with lots of images. PNG is lossless, so it's better for text, charts, diagrams and screenshots where you want crisp edges, but files are larger. If you're unsure, try PNG at 150 DPI and switch to JPG if the files are too big.
Can I convert just one page of a PDF to an image?
Yes. Choose the pages you want, for example 3 or 2-5, and only those pages are converted, which is much faster than converting a long document in full.
Does PDFSpark keep a copy of my PDF?
No. The PDF is rendered to images by your browser using PDF.js, and the images are created on your device. Nothing is uploaded, so there's no copy on our servers to keep or delete. When you close the tab, the files exist only where you saved them.
Can I extract the original images from a PDF instead?
PDF to Images renders whole pages, so each result includes text and layout as well as pictures. Pulling out only the embedded photos or graphics at their original resolution is a different job that needs a dedicated image-extraction tool. For many uses, a 300 DPI page render is a good substitute.
