Remove Blank Pages From a PDF
Duplex scanners and exports often leave empty pages behind. PDFSpark checks every page for ink, flags the ones that look blank, even on grey or speckled scans, and lets you confirm before anything is removed. Detection and removal happen in your browser.
Your file is processed by your own browser and never uploaded. Most online tools send your document to their servers and delete it later — this one never receives it at all.

Remove Blank Pages: frequently asked questions
How do I remove blank pages from a PDF automatically?
Open the PDF in Remove Blank Pages. Each page is rendered and checked for ink in your browser, and near-empty pages are flagged and pre-selected on a thumbnail grid. Review the selection, tap any page that was misjudged or adjust the sensitivity, then click Remove to download the cleaned file.
How does blank page detection work?
Each page is rendered at screen resolution and compared with its own paper colour, so a grey scanned sheet still counts as paper. Isolated specks and the page edges, where scanners leave shadows, are ignored, and pages whose remaining ink stays under the sensitivity limit are flagged as blank. Dark or coloured pages are never flagged.
Will it remove pages that are almost blank, like a page with a single line?
Not at the default sensitivity, but a very high setting can flag them, which is why you review before anything is removed. If a mostly empty page, such as one with a signature line or 'This page intentionally left blank', gets flagged, simply tap it to keep it. Lowering the sensitivity also flags fewer pages.
Can I remove specific pages instead?
Yes. If you already know which pages to remove, Delete Pages lets you pick them on a thumbnail grid or by typing page numbers. Remove Blank Pages is best for long scans where finding every empty page by hand would take a while.
Is my scanned document uploaded?
No. Pages are rendered and analyzed by your browser, so the scan never leaves your device. That's useful for scanned records such as bank statements, medical paperwork or signed agreements, which often contain exactly the details you don't want on someone else's server.
